COVID 19

To our valued Swadley’s Family

There’s been no shortage of news and updates regarding COVID-19 in recent days, and we are actively monitoring and following the guidelines provided by the World Health Organization and CDC, as well as the state and local health authorities of the communities we serve. It’s our priority to make Swadley’s a safe environment for you and your family and I wanted to share the additional actions that we’re taking when you visit any of our Swadley’s restaurant locations.

Most Immediately

We’ve increased the frequency of our already strict cleaning procedures at high touch point areas in our restaurants like door handles, push plates, front counters, seating areas, our salad and pickle bar areas, as well as our bathroom facilities. We’ve also enhanced hand hygiene, cleaning, and sanitizing procedures, and reemphasized the importance of our brand health standards and protocols. Each table and booth are sanitized after each guest. We have also removed all communal tabletop items, like salt, pepper, and ketchup. These items are available upon request and then sanitized after each use.

We’re Committed

We’re committed to making every customer experience safe—and we’re ready to serve you the BBQ you love, whether it’s eaten at our restaurant, picked up in our drive-thru or carryout, brought to you with our new curbside pick-up, or delivered hot to your doorstep.

Swadley’s deliveries are handled through Postmates.

Postmates is committed to the health and safety of our communities and is evolving with this situation too. Last week, they introduced DropOff options that will give customers the ability to specify how they would like to receive their deliveries, including no contact options. To use this new feature, order as normal and then you’ll be prompted to select your delivery preference before checking out. You can Read more about Postmates Coronavirus Response here.

Health & Well-Being

The health and well-being of our employees is also a huge priority for us. Over the last several weeks, we have provided ongoing guidance and information on how our team members can best keep themselves and their families healthy.

Any employee that has flu-like symptoms is to report their symptoms to their manager and remove themselves from our facilities and seek medical advice. Those employees must provide a written release from a medical facility and are asked to stay home for 48 hours after their doctor’s release.

Should one of our restaurant team members become directly exposed to or diagnosed with a confirmed case of COVID-19, the affected employees will be required to self-quarantine. We’ll work with local health authorities, thoroughly clean and sanitize the restaurant, and if an employee is confirmed, the restaurant will be closed for sanitizing before reopening.

Constant Monitoring

We have a plan in place and a team that is constantly monitoring the latest updates on what is no doubt a very dynamic and fluid situation. We’ll continue to stay vigilant and update our plan and procedures as necessary. And we’ll certainly keep you updated as we go.

Family and faith have been at the center of Swadley’s brand from the beginning—20+ years ago—and I want to assure you we’re taking every precautionary measure to protect you and yours. We are a community and we’re going to get through this together—with our faith in God and the Oklahoma Standard leading the way.

Thank you for your patience and trust as we navigate this together—and please stay safe out there.
